This early and somewhat uncommon ES250 is purple, and has purple leather, and it’s kind of awesome actually.

“This is Prince’s ES 250!”

A time when ESes were actually decent (i.e. Hardtops)

Used to see a 5 speed one of these almost daily. Even still I can’t get over the fact that manual Lexuses were a thing.

I want to say a relative in the family had an ES250 in the same color when I was little... but it could’ve been tan. Fuck if I remember. But that purple interior is pretty cool.

I don't think we got these in Canada, which is mildly disappointing

You sure? I would think you did, except it would just be called a Toyota Camry with leather. Did you get those? Because if you did, you got a Lexus ES250.

You're correct, but I've also never seen a Camry of that generation with leather. Now I have to go look for one

If my car ever went long enough between repairs to allow me to buy my own personal loaner car, this is pretty much exactly what I would buy. I’ve never seen double purple before, but I have seen double maroon.
